I have always wanted to learn how to bake good tasting bread. I thought sourdough bread was all about flavor but suddenly realized there was more to it. I learned it was the ancient was of bread making and sourdough is the rising part that takes the place of store bought yeast!

I feed daily every 10 hours or less at around 72 degrees F room temperature.

I used purchased starter from King Arthur Flour but got discouraged from learning because of poor instructions which lead me to storing the starter in the refrigerator for many months. I decided to revisit my kept starter and search for instructions to revive my starter and have been successfully feeding the 4 oz, starter.
4oz Ka unbleached all purpose flour
4oz Well water

Success
I currently and making pancakes with my starter and have used it in my cornbread recipe, too!
