I have recently embarked on a quest to make all of my own bread and do away with store-bought. Store-bought bread has tons of added preservatives, sugar, and salt, and honestly tastes terrible compared to homemade, so why not do away with it entirely?

My starter yields a mild but flavorful bread, with notes of apple cider. There is a slightly sweet undertone from bread made with her.

- 250ml Filtered water
- .25Cup Chopped apple

Refresh with 100 mL water and 100 g bread flour every 3 days, and add apples once the previous have dissolved.

So far I've only tried classic crusty bread. It turned out lovely, with a chewy texture and open crumb.
