I love whole foods that are nutritionally beneficial, interesting to create, and which support other my healthy foods. My PixieDough’s mother was gifted to me by my daughter in-law, via her neighbor, via a Portland, Oregon baker. Traveling back to New Mexico my ebullient, well-fed starter accompanied me during my long drive, stopping to rest at the CA coast, AZ mountains and home to NM.
Characteristics
PixieDough is inviting, comfortable in the mouth with out any toppings, moderately dense but still light, toasting brings out it’s roasted flavor, increases sweetness, enhances overall fermented taste. Makes great loaves, scones, english muffins, pizza dough, crackers and dog biscuits.

Pre-baked sourdough pizza crust, homemade basil pesto, parmesan, mozzarella, Kalimata olive, roasted red pepper, salami.
